Ingredients:
- 2 slices - Bacon Finely chopped
- 1 cups - Onion Chopped
- 2 cups - Tomatoes Chopped
- cups - 4-6 C. fresh okra* Cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 cans - 8-oz. each can tomato sauce w/ roasted garlic flavor
- 1/2 cups - Green bell pepper Chopped
- 1/2 cups - Celery Chopped
- 3 cloves - Garlic Chopped
- 1/2 cups - Water
- 1/2 teaspoons - Hot sauce, such as Tobasco
- 1/2 teaspoons - Salt
- 1 teaspoons - Black pepper
- 1 cans - Corn
Directions:
1. Cook bacon a couple minutes, to render fat and lightly brown. Add onion and cook until translucent.
2. Ad tomatoes, okra, tomato sauce, bell pepper, celery, garlic, water, hot sauce, salt, pepper and corn and cook until vegetables are soft, 30-45 min., stirring frequently to prevent burning,
