Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups - Red Lentils sorted and rinsed
- 10 cups - Cold Water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - Sea Salt
- 4 cloves - Garlic minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons - Ground Cumin
- 1 tablespoons - Ground Coriander
- 1 teaspoons - Turmeric
- 2 tablespoons - Olive Oil
- - Lemon Wedges optional
Directions:
Place lentils and water in a large pot, bring to boil then turn heat down to simmer - covered. In a small pan cook garlic, cumin and coriander in the olive oil about 30 seconds to get a yellow sauce. Add this to the soup pot along with turmeric and salt. Continue simmering soup till thick and creamy (about 2 hours total time). Serve with optional lemon wedges.
