Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 1 pounds - rotini pasta
- 1 pounds - lean ground beef
- 1 - medium onion chopped
- 4 cloves - garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoons - red pepper flakes (more to taste)
- 2 teaspoons - soy sauce
- 28 ounces - crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cups - heavy cream
- 1/4 cups - grated parmesan cheese (more to taste)
- - salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, and cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain.
2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over med-high heat, combine the beef and onion, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon. Cook until beef is starting to brown and onions are tender, about 8 minutes. Add garlic, pepper flakes, soy sauce and tomatoes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
3. Add the cream to the sauce and simmer until thickened, about 2 minutes. Add the cheese, then the pasta, stirring to coat. Salt and pepper to taste; garnish with more cheese if desired and serve.
